Environmental Restoration

Michael Baker international has substantial, long-term environmental restoration experience working under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA); Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization (SARA), and other environmental regulatory programs. In support of these programs, we provide a broad range of remedial and on-site engineering services, including design and support during remediation (construction management, testing, and quality control). We offer flexibility in contracting arrangements between owners and remediation contractors to reflect the client’s preferred approach.

Mining

Michael Baker International’s mining disciplines focus on pursuing dynamic emerging markets while continuing to serve long-standing client relationships. Our core services include mine engineering, design, geotechnical, permitting, and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) studies and documentation. Additionally, stream restoration and natural stream channel design is a growing service area, and abandoned mine lands (AML) reclamation has become a key focus for the mining industry.
